Scene from Awakenings (1990)

Today one of my students showed me this scene out of his smart phone, asking what they're talking. I've never watched the film before, so I couldn't understand what he tried to tell. I just said without  a head phone, I can't understand well.  Actually I was not able to see the scene clearly. I knew the name of the film "Awakenings",  in Japanese レオナードの朝, however without seeing it I couldn't follow his feelings or intention. He said he watches it again and again. Probably he, a smart student understood well what they're talking about, and he just wanted me to share the same feelings he had out of this film.  I just asked the title, and now I found the scene in YouTube.  I watched the scene again and again, ended up finding the real doctor's talk. Now, what I've recognized is that I've got to see the whole film, if not, I can't share the same feelings or impression the student wanted to ask.

It sounds difficult for me to watch the film since I've really got to focus on my paper. However I'd like to see it and talk with my student.  Should I rent the DVD?
